Midnight Blue (1963): Jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell featuring Stanley Turrentine on tenor saxophone, Major Holley on double bass, Bill English on drums and Ray Barretto on conga. Midnight Blue is one of Burrell’s best-known works for Blue Note Records. In 2005, NPR included the album in its "Basic Jazz Library", describing it as "one of the great jazzy blues records".

The Journey

Travel: to go from one place to another, as by car, train, plane, or ship; take a trip; journey: to travel for pleasure.

The great unknown...

Just a few thoughts and principles about the individual journey each one of us must travel while here on earth:

1. Journeys, God size journeys, require faith for the trip. (Numbers 13)

2. God will often stretch our comfort zone.

3. The 10-2 principle is usually true (ten negative experiences for every two positive experiences). For every one positive outcome there were often five previous failures. Keep your head up and your eyes focused on what lies ahead.

4. There will always be giants to face.

5. Courage is always required in order to conquer new territory.

6. Many times we don't get to where we want to be because we are too easily satisfied. This is often true in "dating" and "intimate relationships."

7. Some paths we have to travel alone and alone only, unless we invite God to travel with us... if we do He will never leave us.

Stay focused...

8. We often don't get where we want to go because we have no idea where it is we want to go or any idea on how to get there.

9. Resolve in your mind how bad you want to get where you want to be. Once you do that ask God if that is where He wants you to be.

10. "Worry" is "Fears" twin brother and "Procrastination" is their cousin. Ask yourself three questions: What do I NEED to do, WHEN am I going to do it and HOW am I going to do it. After you answer those three questions pray and "Just Do It."

Enjoy the ride...
